This 2-jaw pneumatic gripper uses Robohand’s patented double wedge mechanism to convert vertical motion into smooth, synchronous horizontal jaw movement. It’s ideal for small part handling, especially in tight automation setups or on small robots.
The RP-5 offers a stroke of 0.16 inches and a grip force of 35 lbf, which increases to 40 lbf with optional spring assist. It supports finger lengths up to 3 inches and operates within a pressure range of 40–100 psi. With repeatability of ±0.001 inches and a rugged aluminum body, this gripper ensures consistent performance in high-cycle environments.
Its lightweight design (0.18 lb) makes it easy to integrate into compact systems. The RP-5 does not include a spindle, allowing for flexible configuration. Compatible accessories include OISN-019 sensors, OSMK-001 mounting kits, and various cables for enhanced control.
